Run the Runway Wraps up at Niagara Falls Airport
Niagara Falls, N.Y. — On Saturday, August 23, the Niagara Falls International Airport traded takeoffs for strides as it transformed into an electrifying racetrack for the Run the Runway 5K. This one-of-a-kind evening race welcomed nearly 300 enthusiastic participants who turned out in full force to support local heroes.
Beats by Buffalo’s own DJ Milk set the perfect tone while the airport’s tarmac became the ultimate track! Participants of all ages donned glow sticks powered by Greenlight Networks and raced across the finish line for a powerful purpose.
All proceeds from the event directly benefited the Western New York Law Enforcement Helpline, a vital resource offering mental health and wellness support to law enforcement officers and their families across the region.
Niagara University's Women's Basketball team helped lead the way as volunteers during the race, and Wayland Brewing Company along with Mr. Ventry's Pizza, provided refreshments for the post-event party.
